Artist Statement
"I began working with glass 20 years ago and my passion for the medium in all its forms, from the light changing qualities of stained glass to the volatile liquidity of hot glass, just grows and grows. Glass is endlessly fascinating and it keeps challenging me to new projects."
About my work
Judy Jennings is a full-time professional stained glass artist. She makes stained glass windows, screens, hanging pieces and ornamental works. She also paints on glass and produces a variety of fused glass pieces including plates, standing ornaments and stories in boxes.
Judy does sell her work in the Winnipeg Art Gallery shop and Mermaid's Kiss gallery in Gimli however she does mainly commission work -- discussing and understanding what the client wants, designing the piece, creating and completing the work, and supervising it's installation,creating work that is relevant to the space, the light and the client.
Judy's work has been purchased by people and institutions in various countries. She has exhibited her work in many juried shows and in galleries, always to great acclaim.
